2026 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting year at Breakwater Federal Credit Union. From everyday classroom visits to larger-scale financial literacy events, we are working hard to bring our vision to life by empowering our members and community with valuable financial resources and education.
Driven by a commitment to community, Breakwater Federal Credit Union employees volunteered nearly 250 hours across the Copper Country in 2025.
Fall was filled with kindness, cooperation, and connection here at Breakwater. From CU Kind Day, where our staff had the chance to spread joy throughout the Copper Country, to our collaborative presentation with the Keweenaw Co+op on the seven principles of cooperatives, the season reminded us of the power of working together to support our community.
Kids are back in school, leaves are beginning to change, and the new season brings opportunities for learning, growth and community engagement. This past month we’ve celebrated youth savings and engaged in meaningful community activities.

Phew… Summer has been packed with wonderful community events, and it’s been a pleasure to be part of them.
