We’re excited to share that construction is officially underway on a renovation project at Breakwater Federal Credit Union! The project includes refreshed employee workspaces, updated technology, and additional space designed to enhance the member experience and support our continued growth.

With Summer Solstice quickly approaching, Breakwater has been enjoying summer vibes and community events that make life in the Keweenaw shine. This past weekend, we celebrated the 66th Anniversary of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge by participating in Bridgefest activities. As we look ahead, we are excited to join our community in celebrating the summer season by continuing to support the events, traditions, and gatherings that bring our communities together.

We’re excited to share that My Financial Health, our credit monitoring and financial wellness tool, is now available directly within Online Banking and the Breakwater mobile app!

With My Financial Health, you can stay informed about your credit and take steps to strengthen your financial health—all in one convenient place.

Through classroom programs, community events, partnerships, and hands-on activities, Breakwater directly engaged with 365 individuals throughout the month. In addition, our efforts indirectly reached an estimated 169 parents, volunteers, observers, and community members who participated in or experienced these events alongside attendees.
